Valentine's day is just around the corner....
but even closer is the much anticipated launch of "Love"--Prabal Gurung's collection for Target. I don't know about you, but in my eyes, designer "collabs" with stores like Target seem like mini holidays all in themselves. The combination of gorgeous, affordable pieces with designer names becoming so accessible is seriously a fashionistas dream come true. This specific collection tells a love story complete with a bright color pallet and recurring floral/poppy prints.
The aesthetic is much more flirty and girly than the designer's most recent collections and is absolutely perfect for Valentines Day attire. Coincidence?...I think not. Although I would love to own the complete 80+ piece collection...my budget doesn't completely agree. I chose a few of my favorite pieces from the look book and made some inspiration boards while daydreaming how I may style my new goodies (assuming I beat the crowds and find my size!) Check them out below!
If I walk away with only one piece from the "Love" collection...I hope it's these heels! Not only is black & white completely on-trend right now (& for upcoming Spring) but I am a total sucker for floral print & these would make it so easy to add just a pop of petals to any look!
I have to admit...if you couldn't already tell...I love to wear black. It's classic, easy, edgy, flattering and appropriate for almost every occasion! This beautiful (& colorful!) bag from the collection is another item on my must-have list. This would add color to my dark duds and lighten me up for Spring! Plus its the perfect size to carry all of your essentials on-the-go!
When I saw this dress I instantly thought Carrie Bradshaw. Although she is a fictional character, she is a huge style icon for me! I love how unexpected and playful her style is. That's why I chose to go a darker route when styling this flirty little dress. Topping with a peplum blazer, studded waist belt, ankle strap black heels & simple crystal studs is an unexpected twist to a fem ensemble! All you need are some big "Carrie curls" and you're set for a night out!

How would you style them?
PS-If you decide to brave the crowds on Feb 10th for this launch, good luck ;)
